AMR III Building A offers suite-style living comprised of two bedrooms (single, doubles, or triples), that share a bathroom. With the exception of the handicap equipped suites, there is a suite door and a bedroom door that separate the residents from the hallway. The building is climate controlled, which means they are maintained at a consistent temperature all year long, between 68 and 72 degrees Fahrenheit.
AMR III A is locked twenty-four hours a day. Access for residents is via their J-Card to the building, and their room key to their room. A University security officer and one security guard patrol the perimeter of these buildings 24/7, as well as the common areas during times when the housing office is not open. The AMRs have common kitchens equipped with stoves, sinks, refrigerators, and microwave ovens in the basement of the building. Coin operated laundry facilities are also located in the basement.
As Johns Hopkins University’s premier “all-you-care-to-eat” facility, at Fresh Food Cafe, an endless list of daily options, there is an almost-constant opportunity for students and staff with a to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner at their leisure.
Fresh Foods Cafe is peanut and tree nut free. The facility includes gluten free and vegan options daily. Kosher meals are available upon advance request.
